PawedCast Episode 27: Chicago Fire Review / New England Revolution Preview
Saturday night was partly fun and partially frustrating. The Lions finally looked themselves after several lackluster performances, controlling play, maintaining possession and generating chances at goal. However, most of those chances went wanting, as Orlando City mustered only one goal and that one was credited to Chicago defender Eric Gehrig.
Oh, and there was the weather. A two hour wait to get the game started was followed by 18 minutes of soccer and then another hour delay. Fans who stayed were soaked but treated to a good performance by Orlando. Can City build on it? We'll find out in a few days. Allen, Andrew and I break down what worked and didn't work on Saturday and each pick our man of the match.
Meanwhile, Seth from The Bent Musket joins us this week to talk about what we can expect from the Revs this weekend in a very important match-up for the Lions’ playoff hopes. It’ll be tough without Kaká, Cyle Larin, Carlos Rivas and Darwin Ceren, but City must try to get something out of the match.
We look forward to the Revs on Saturday and even give you our match predictions, which are hardly ever close, but still we persist.
We'd like to crank up a new segment called "Ask TML," which is sort of an audio version of a Reddit AMA. To get your questions in, hit us up on Twitter with the #AskTML hashtag or email us with "Ask TML" in the subject line.

Here's how the show went down:
0:26- Allen, Andrew and I discuss the 1-1 draw vs. Chicago Fire and it’s safe to say that although it was a lot more positive than we’ve seen recently, none of us are ready to say the Lions are back just yet. We also discuss the Cyle Larin/Own goal, the horrible Orlando weather and what kind of lineup we might see this Saturday with so many faces missing.
24:27- Seth hops aboard and clues us in on what’s been going on with the Revolution, why they’re playing better of late, and what we can expect from them on Saturday. And he speaks from experience when he says the Citrus Bowl atmosphere is awesome.
39:08- We give our key match-ups for this Saturday and predict the final score. Well, a third of us are at least somewhat optimistic.
