We're getting closer and closer to the start of the Orlando Pride's inaugural NWSL season. Today the club announced its preseason slate of four friendlies in preparation for the 2016 campaign, all of which will be against Florida in-state collegiate competition.

The preseason will open with Alex Morgan and company taking a trip to Melbourne on Saturday, March 19, to take on Eastern Florida State College as part of a doubleheader with USL side Orlando City B. The men will take the pitch at 11 a.m. and the Pride will follow against the women’s team at 3 p.m. The match is free and open to the public but fans must reserve a ticket, which includes both matches.

On Tuesday, March 22, the Pride will host the University of Florida in a closed friendly. Two more closed door friendlies will round out the preseason slate — Wednesday, March 30 vs. South Florida and Saturday, April 2, vs. Florida State University. Pride players Becky Edwards, Toni Pressley and Jamia Fields all played college soccer for the Seminoles.

The Mane Land will have more on these matches in the weeks ahead.
