Well, we’re pretty sure we’ve seen everything now, after that rather…interesting…handball call against Servando Carrasco Sunday that led to a 2-2 Orlando City draw against the New England Revolution. On this edition of the PawedCast, we’re certainly going to talk about the officiating a little bit, but we’re also going to talk more about the game, our Man of the Match and a bit of this week’s fallout.
We also discuss OCB’s cold start to the 2016 USL season and Orlando Pride’s first-ever NWSL game. Joining us to give us the view from the inside of that match at Portland is none other than Australian international defender Steph Catley, who scored the Pride’s first-ever goal on Sunday night. Steph is about as personable as they come and we appreciate her giving us her view of the game, the Pride’s progress so far and preparations for the Houston Dash on Saturday.
We also kicked off a new segment, called Ask TML, which allows listeners to ask us any question on their mind. You can do that by email or tweet to us using the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We hope to hear from you.
And, of course, we give you our key match-ups and score predictions for Sunday’s match at New York Red Bulls. It was a really big show!
Here's how it happened:
0:13- Lions! Revs! Refs! Man of the Match! Nocerino suspended! We break down the New England match and talk OCB and Pride.
32:24- Steph Catley joins us for an exclusive interview. The only scorer in Pride history (so far) shares her thoughts on Sundays match at Portland Thorns, life with the Pride, Aussie Rules Football, and more.
45:15- Ask TML answers questions about Mason Stajduhar at OCB and Brek Shea with OCSC, plus our key match-ups against NYRB and our sure-to-be-wrong predictions
