The new coach came in pretty much how the old coach went out. Bobby Murphy’s first match in charge as interim coach resulted in a 0-0 home draw against the Houston Dynamo — the club’s ninth tie of the 2016 MLS season. We’ve got a rewind of the match, a recap of Orlando Pride’s dramatic 2-1 win over the Boston Breakers, and OCB’s result in Rochester. We also have a bit more on Adrian Heath’s firing.
We're also delighted to welcome Orlando City Academy Director David Longwell, who has a lot to tell us about how he's building the club's academy, what makes a good development program, and where he sees the future Lions coming from. David was a great interview and we're glad we could finally fit into his very busy schedule.
And no PawedCast would be complete without our key match-ups and score predictions. We've got two games to look ahead to this week, so there's double the chance we'll be wrong.
Here's how the show went:
0:13- Adrian Heath's firing after a few days' reflection, the Lions and Dynamo, Pride-Breakers, OCB-Rhinos, and more.
31:19- David Longwell jumps on with his thoughts on what lies ahead for Orlando City’s development academy.
51:02- Our key match-ups and score predictions for this week’s road matches against the New York Red Bulls and Vancouver Whitecaps.
