PawedCast Episode 61: Seattle Sounders Review, Chicago Fire Preview, and Paul Tenorio Interview

Well, that wasn’t as fun a weekend as we’d have liked, was it? The 3-1 loss to Seattle still stings in the midweek, not only because it ended the team’s home unbeaten streak, but more importantly because even another lousy draw would have had the Lions above the red line and still with a game in hand on New England. Oh well.

We’re here to pick at the bones of that game and give you what might be the most difficult Man of the Match selections of the year to date. A look at the stat sheet definitely doesn’t tell the story from this match. We also discuss another crazy week for OCB as the young Lions again make things as dramatic as they possibly can. And we’ve got a little Olympic soccer talk as well.

Paul Tenorio, former Orlando Sentinel writer, who is currently on the Chicago Fire broadcast team, as well as serving as a national columnist for the excellent FourFourTwo.com, joins us to talk about the MLS at large and Orlando City’s upcoming match in the Windy City Suburb against the Fire. Paul’s knowledge of the league should be looked on with great respect and we’re happy he could find the time to answer our questions.

And, of course, before we sign off, there are the weekly key match-ups and score predictions for this weekend’s game on the road against the Chicago Fire.

Here’s how it unfolded:

0:12- There's no way to sugar coat how much we hated the result Sunday, as well as the way the Sounders carved up Orlando City's back line. We'll recap it for you anyway, because that's what we do. MPG and Kaká stuck out to us. We've also got Orlando City B and Olympic talk which is a bit nicer.

38:24- Paul Tenorio hops on and has some great insight on Orlando City, MLS and the Chicago Fire. He even answered listener questions.

1:01:08- Ask TML, key match-ups for Sunday at the Fire and prediction time!

That’s it for another episode. See you next week with the Lions-Fire recap.
