USA vs. St. Vincent & the Grenadines World Cup Qualifier: How to Watch, TV & Live Stream Info and More
Welcome to your match thread for today’s World Cup qualifying match between the United States Men’s National Team and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. A nation with a a population much smaller than the city of Orlando’s will host the match at a cricket ground but it’s an important game for the U.S.
This will be just the second meeting ever between the two countries, per 11v11.com, with the first coming last November on the opening day of Group C action. Vincy Heat took a surprise early lead on the U.S. in the first leg, with Oalex Anderson scoring just five minutes into the game at St. Louis on Nov. 13 of last year. The U.S. scored the next six, however, to win, 6-1. Bobby Wood started the scoring in the 11th and was joined by Fabian Johnson (29’), Jozy Altidore (31’, 74’), Geoff Cameron (51’), and Zardes (58’).
The United States is second in Group C after losing at Guatemala and drawing at Trinidad & Tobago, so a couple of wins will be necessary if the Yanks are going to win their group and head into the Hex with some momentum. That job will be made tougher by injuries to John Brooks, Jermaine Jones, and Gyasi Zardes, plus an irregular heartbeat sidelining Clint Dempsey. Oh, and Michael Bradley will miss today’s match due to yellow card accumulation.
Expect Jurgen Klinsmann to go with some familiar faces in the midfield. Kyle Beckerman, Alejandro Bedoya, and Graham Zusi could all start and we may see Darlington Nagbe or another less experienced player join them. This is a good game to get a few guys some experience, as Vincy Heat should pose little threat to the U.S., even at The Arnos Vale Ground. The back line will most likely be Johnson-Matt Besler-Cameron-DeAndre Yedlin. Bobby Wood and Altidore are likely bets to start up top. The shape could be a 4-4-2 or the 4-3-3 we’ve seen a bit of lately.
With the more difficult game coming Tuesday in Jacksonville against T&T, today’s match might give Klinsmann an opportunity to take a chance on getting minutes for a guy like Jordan Morris, Rubio Rubin, or Paul Arriola, but I don’t expect that until the USMNT has the game in hand.

Match Thread Rules
This is your live thread for posting comments on the match. So use our comments section below to talk about the game in real time with other supporters. If you're new, welcome to our happy home! While you're here, please observe a few basic rules:
- Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They can get us in trouble, and no one wants that.
- Try not to be "that guy" who spews nothing but venom and hate for the team. It's ok to be critical, and, let's face it, sometimes even the best teams can be frustrating to watch, but being overly negative relentlessly can sap the enjoyment for others.
- Keep it somewhat clean and fair when criticizing players / officials. You never know who might be reading.
- Do unto others in the match thread, the way you would have others do unto you. We are a fun community and want to keep it this way. We have a moderator, but we'd rather let him enjoy the game instead of having to play babysitter.
