Orlando City captain Kaká has been named to the 2017 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target as a Fan XI selection, making it the third year in a row the Brazilian has made the league’s mid-season exhibition. This season, the MLS All-Stars will face Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET (FS1, UniMás, TSN, and TVA Sports).

Kaká, who captained the MLS All-Star squad the last two seasons, was named the game’s Most Valuable Player in the 2015 edition of the game, scoring a goal and assisting on another against English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. Last year, Kaká and his All-Star teammates faced Arsenal.

Injured just minutes into the 2017 season opener, the captain has made 13 appearances (nine starts) this year, scoring three goals and adding four assists. He’s second only to Carlos Rivas (5) in assists among Orlando City players, and is third in goals behind Cyle Larin (8) – an All-Star himself last season – and Rivas (4).

MLS will announce the 24-man game day roster later this month, which will include the 2017 MLS All-Star Fan XI presented by Target, two Commissioner’s Picks, and 11 players selected by Chicago Fire and MLS All-Star Head Coach Veljko Paunović.

The league’s stars will face the likes of four-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, 27-year-old Wales international star Gareth Bale, and four-time La Liga Best Defender Sergio Ramos, who is dirty as hell. Witness:

Let’s not do that to our captain, OK, Sergio?
