USA vs. Costa Rica, Gold Cup: How to Watch, TV Info, Live Stream, Preview, Lineups, Match Thread, and More
After a physical and sloppy 2-0 win against El Salvador, the United States Men’s National Team looks to put together a better performance against Costa Rica in the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinals in Arlington, TX.
This match-up features two teams that are extremely familiar with each other. Costa Rica holds the all-time edge in the series by a single win, going 15-14-6. However, the U.S. is 13-6-4 on American soil, 6-0-1 in the Gold Cup, and Bruce Arena is undefeated in his second tenure.
The last time these two countries met in the Gold Cup, it was none other than former Orlando City midfielder Brek Shea that gave the Yanks the win. That was Shea’s first ever goal for his country, but of that 23-player roster only Joe Corona and Bill Hamid are playing for Arena this year.
The U.S. knows that it must improve to beat Los Ticos. The Central American team is much better than El Salvador, which the Yanks struggled against in a win on Wednesday. Bruce Arena gave many players more opportunities on Wednesday, but expect a veteran team to come out tonight as the U.S. looks to move into the final.

- Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They can get us in trouble, and no one wants that.
- Try not to be "that guy" who spews nothing but venom and hate for the team. It's OK to be critical, and, let's face it, sometimes even the best teams can be frustrating to watch, but being overly negative relentlessly can sap the enjoyment for others.
- Keep it somewhat clean and fair when criticizing players / officials. You never know who might be reading.
- Do unto others in the match thread, the way you would have others do unto you. We are a fun community and want to keep it this way. We have a moderator, but we'd rather let him enjoy the game instead of having to play babysitter.
