Hurricane Irma Aftermath
Orlando City was out of town when Hurricane Irma hit, so the MLS team’s players and coaches, as well as some staff were out of state while the storm was grinding its way up the Florida peninsula. But some folks from the club were still in the area and it’s worth checking in with them.
Orlando Pride
With the Pride on an international break, some players were able to get out of Irma’s path, but a few stayed behind.

All good with me and my family. Never lost power and no damages to where I stayed. Hoping my house in Downtown and in Pembroke Pines are ok.

Apartment & kitties (though terrified) survived the storm. Lots of trees and debris down near my building & Lake Lily. Thankfully not worse. pic.twitter.com/awzK6YXwjg

Lucas Casas traveled with the Lions for their 2-1 win at D.C. United and was out of harm’s way, but he checked in as well.
relieved to hear my family and friends in Florida are safe, and as we clean up and rebuild, take a moment today to remember Sept. 11

Hopefully more players and staff will check in and we’ll try to update this post as we get more of those social media posts.
