Orlando City went to Atlanta and became the first visiting opponent to score any goals or take any points at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Lions mustered a 3-3 draw which seems more or less fair after an entertaining and sometimes open contest. We’re here to break down that game and give you our Man of the Match picks.
The Pride were off this week but we’ve still got women’s soccer to talk about with Pride players going on international duty with the USWNT, as well as Brazil and Australia. Alex Morgan is straight fire right now and she’s torching everyone she plays. We’ve also got OCB at Saint Louis FC, but it didn’t go well for the young Lions this week.
Will Conwell, an editor over at Stumptown Footy, was kind enough to stop by and talk to us about Orlando City’s game at the Portland Timbers on Sunday. Hear which players for Portland are in good/bad form right now and what Timbers’ fans are thinking about this match.
We’ve also got our key match-ups and score predictions, as well as our #AskTMLPC mailbag.
Here’s the way No. 104 went:
0:12- Two straight road results for Orlando City? We’ll take the draw. We’ve got a unanimous and fairly obvious Man of the Match pick and we love watching the Lions score multiple goals. Australia is emerging in women’s soccer. Alex Morgan scores thrice in two international games. And more.
39:20- Will Conwell jumps in and has thoughts on how the Orlando City-Portland Timbers match will shake out on Sunday.
58:06- The mailbag asks about Jason Kreis, the NASL’s lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation, and more. Plus, our key match-ups and score predictions for Sunday.
