Welcome to your live thread for the United States Women's National Team’s second friendly match in four days against world No. 15-ranked Korea Republic in Cary, NC (2 p.m. ET, ESPN). Orlando Pride stars Alex Morgan and Ashlyn Harris are on the roster and could be in action. Morgan started and scored for the Yanks on Thursday night in a 3-1 win while Harris sat the bench on her birthday for the second straight year because Jill Ellis hates to make sure she has more than one goalkeeper ready to play.

Morgan is on a four-game goal-scoring streak with the USWNT and has 78 for her career.

The USWNT holds an 8-0-2 record in the all-time series with all 10 matches coming on U.S. soil. Prior to Thursday, the most recent meeting was a scoreless draw in the sendoff series prior to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada. The United States women have won all six previous games held at WakeMed Soccer Park.

Mallory Pugh is out after sustaining a hamstring injury in Thursday’s match, while midfielder Andi Sullivan has returned to Stanford. Ellis called up 30-year-old North Carolina Courage midfielder McCall Zerboni, who recently played in Orlando in the NWSL final. This is Zerboni’s first call-up and she has plenty of experience playing alongside Sam Mewis on the club level.

Tobin Heath (ankle) and Taylor Smith (shoulder) are also out with injuries. Both picked up knocks in the NWSL championship match. Heath’s early foul knocked Smith out of that match. Heath’s Portland Thorns topped Smith’s North Carolina Courage, 1-0 at Orlando City Stadium.

Match Thread Rules

This is your live thread for posting comments on the match. So use our comments section below to talk about the game in real time with other supporters. If you're new, welcome to our happy home! While you're here, please observe a few basic rules:

  • Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They can get us in trouble, and no one wants that.
  • Try not to be "that guy" who spews nothing but venom and hate for the team. It's OK to be critical, and, let's face it, sometimes even the best teams can be frustrating to watch, but being overly negative relentlessly can sap the enjoyment for others.
  • Keep it somewhat clean and fair when criticizing players / officials. You never know who might be reading.
  • Do unto others in the match thread, the way you would have others do unto you. We are a fun community and want to keep it this way. We have a moderator, but we'd rather let him enjoy the game instead of having to play babysitter.

Enjoy the match. Go America!
