PawedCast Episode 120: Portland Recap, Philly Preview, USWNT, Pride, and Christine Nairn Interview

We’re back to talk about Orlando City’s second straight heart-stopping win. Well, Dave is probably better at talking about it than me, as I’ve come down with a cold this week which has given me a nasty sore throat. Still, I soldier on, much like the Lions did on Sunday against the Portland Timbers.

Christine Nairn jumps on with us to discuss the Orlando Pride’s slow start and how the team can get back in the groove even before the Aussies and Brazilians return. We also look ahead to the Pride’s upcoming game against the Portland Thorns this Sunday.

We’ve got other things to discuss as well, like Alex Morgan completely owning Mexico in a pair of USWNT friendlies, our listener questions in our Ask The Mane Land PawedCast mailbag, and and our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City’s trip to play the Philadelphia Union on Friday.

If there’s something you want us to address on our next show, just tweet it to us @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC.

Here’s the rundown on No. 120:

0:12- It’s been a while since we’ve been able to talk about two consecutive Orlando City wins, but we get to do just that. Plus, the USWNT gets two lopsided wins and let’s get ready for the Pride’s next match in Portland.

28:02- Christine Nairn is here and hey, what does a team gotta do to get some offense going around here (besides wait for Marta’s return)?

43:37- The #AskTMLPC mailbag and our laughable predictions for the Lions vs. the Union.
