PawedCast Episode 122: Amro Tarek Interview, Quakes Recap, Orlando Pride, and More

Orlando City kept on rolling Saturday night, as the Lions claimed their fourth consecutive win by building a big lead on the San Jose Earthquakes before eventually holding on for a 3-2 win. Once again, Dom Dwyer and Chris Mueller provided the offense, along with Sacha Kljestan, and some assistance from Yoshimar Yotun and Justin Meram. Two late corner kick goals spoiled an otherwise fun evening at Orlando City Stadium and we’re here to break it all down for you.

Joining us this week is special guest Amro Tarek, who has quietly had a solid season at center back for Orlando. He told us about his journey from Egypt back to MLS, playing with Specs and Sané, and much more.

We also discuss the Pride’s first win of the year, which came Sunday at the expense of the Houston Dash. Plus, our listener questions in our Ask The Mane Land PawedCast mailbag, and and our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City’s match Sunday at high altitude against the Colorado Rapids.

If there’s something you want us to address on our next show, just tweet it to us @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC.

Here’s how show No. 122 mapped out:

0:12- Four wins in a row. It’s four times more fun to talk about than one win. The Pride breaking their skid adds to the enjoyment, plus, the cavalry is coming for the Pride in the form of Marta, Alanna Kennedy, and others.

35:50- Amro Tarek on playing for Jason Kreis, stopping those pesky set piece goals, how Major League Soccer is viewed around the world, and more.

49:57- The #AskTMLPC mailbag and our sure-to-be-wrong predictions for the Lions at the ‘Pids.
