PawedCast Episode 132: Atlanta Rewind, Pride Losses, James O’Connor Talk, and More

Happy Fourth of July, everyone! Orlando City has found its new head coach and we’ll have plenty to say about the selection. To help us say plenty about the selection, we welcome back our former Louisville City correspondent from the old days, Jeff Milby. Jeff’s seen O’Connor develop as a head coach and he gives us the lowdown on what the Lions are getting in their new gaffer.

We’ve also got some soccer-like substance to talk about. The second Bobby Murphy era came to a close with a whimper in a 4-0 loss at Atlanta United. But things weren’t any better on the Pride’s side of things, as Orlando’s NWSL team lost a pair of home matches since we last talked.

Finally, we’ve got our weekly mailbag segment and a look at what lies ahead for both Orlando City and the Pride this weekend. We’ll give you our key match-ups and predictions for the Lions at LAFC and talk about the Pride’s final match-up of the season against the Washington Spirit.

Here’s how show No. 132 transpired:

0:12- The Lions hired a new coach, then fell hard at Atlanta. The Pride blew a lead late against Houston and were never in it against North Carolina. Yeah, a rough week.

32:46- Jeff Milby joins us for more talk about James O’Connor and his time at Louisville City.

51:56- Our mailbag and our look ahead at upcoming matches, including our score predictions for Saturday at LAFC.
