PawedCast Episode 138: D.C. United Rewind, Pride-Thorns, Transfer Window & More

Published

on

It was a brutal weekend for Orlando soccer fans, with both the Lions and Pride falling to D.C. United and the Portland Thorns, respectively. Orlando City played a pretty heroic game, all things considered, under trying circumstances, but a sucker punch at the end undid a lot of good things. For their part, the Pride came out like lions in the first half but went out of the locker room like lambs after halftime.

Well, they played so we might as well talk about it. To no one’s surprise, there are some controversial calls to discuss in our breakdown segment. Other big news includes the end of the transfer period, fines and suspensions for Orlando City, and more.

We also address our weekly mailbag questions, and since the Lions are off this weekend, we try to predict the Pride at the North Carolina Courage.

Here’s how we handled show No. 138:

0:12 – This entire segment is under video review and you’re not going to like it.

39:57 – The Pride had a regular season playoff game against the Portland Thorns and things did not go according to plan.

53:14 – The close of the transfer window did not bring any relief and how is MLS like an Iron Maiden album cover?

1:00:44 – Our mailbag, like the rest of us, wants to know what clear and obvious really means.
