PawedCast Episode 142: Chicago Rewind, Pride Fire Tom Sermanni, Houston Preview, and More

Sorry about last week, folks, but the weirdest technical glitch in the history of technical glitches had our audio overlapping for no apparent reason and with no way to fix it. So, we wasted an hour and 10 minutes of our lives on discussion of the 1-0 loss at Sporting Kansas City, the Pride’s season finale flop at Sky Blue FC, the All-Star Game announcement, and more. No one will ever hear our wisdom, or lack thereof.

The factory of soccer sadness churned out a 4-0 loss for the Lions in Bridgeview. We don’t really put that much effort into discussing Orlando City at the Chicago Fire because the Lions didn’t put that much effort into the match itself. But hey, we’re here to help with your weekly group therapy session.

The Pride parted ways with Tom Sermanni last Friday and we discuss not only that, but the fact that I specifically stated that if he was going to be fired it would have been last Friday. No one will believe me, but I do have audio of it, such as it is. It just never aired. Oh well, we talked about it.

The mailbag was pieced together more from memory than anything else, but we were trying to recapture the profound things we said last week but failed to do so. Finally, we closed things out with our key match-ups and score predictions for the Lions against the Houston Dynamo.

Here’s how show No. 142 went:

0:12 – Orlando City at Chicago Fire. Feel the burn.

18:55 – Tom Sermanni is no longer the coach of the Orlando Pride. It’s kinda sad, really.

27:45 – Our mailbag for the week, plus a brief but odd tangent about Donald Glover and Captain Marvel.

40:26 – Our predictions for the Lions vs. Houston. Look away with your ears.
