Orlando City SC’s Academy squad will take part in the U-17 Generation Adidas Cup in Dallas later this month. The young Lions will play in Group B of the Premier Division in the week-long tournament, along with Chicago Fire, LA Galaxy and Tigres UANL.

FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium will serve as tournament hosts this year, in a field that includes 17 MLS academy squads, plus Chivas USA and international squads such as River Plate (Argentina), Athletic Club Bilbao (Spain), Eintrecht Frankfurt (Germany), and others from as far away as Qatar and Japan.

The Generation Adidas Cup winner will come from the Champions Division, which was determined in earlier regional events, with the top two finishers in each regional group reaching the bracket that will determine the champion. Orlando City won't be eligible to win the cup after a slow start to the tournament but there will be plenty to play for in the Premier Division.

The tournament, in its eighth year, kicks off March 29.
