We return after a week off. The week off wasn’t intended and in fact we did record what was probably our best show of all time, but I forgot to change back my settings from another task and therefore we didn’t get any of Dave’s audio to record. I debated putting it out anyway as performance art, allowing listeners to try to guess what Dave said, but in the end I opted to skip it. I was too distraught to re-record, so I chalked it up as a life lesson to double check my settings and here we are.
We’re here to discuss the U.S. Open Cup, with Orlando City moving past Memphis and heading toward a date with the Revs. We also touched on Josué Colmán’s loan and what it means, in as much detail as we can remember giving about it in last week’s scrapped episode.
The Pride are coming off a draw on the road, which is a step in the right direction, while OCB has now dropped two straight, which is a step in the wrong direction.
Plus: the World Cup, the Gold Cup, and drinking out of a sippee cup (OK, maybe not that last one). We talk about goal celebrations because that’s a thing, answer our listener mail questions, and more.

Here’s how show No. 166 went down:
0:15 – Orlando City is in the thick of the U.S. Open Cup, OCB is flailing again, the Pride seem to be making a small amount of forward progress, and a Lion heads to Paraguay.
41:17 – The World Cup, the Gold Cup, goal celebrations, listener mail, and our key match-ups and predictions for the Revs on Wednesday.
