PawedCast Episode 170: USOC and Crew Rewind, Portland and NYRB Previews, Pride-Thorns, OCB, and More

Orlando City had a pretty good week, advancing to the U.S. Open Cup semifinals for the first time ever after a dramatic penalty shootout against New York City FC, then turning around and finishing a triple game week with a late win over the Columbus Crew. We’re breaking down those games and picking our Man of the Match selections from a good week for the Lions.

The Pride followed a four-goal performance with a three-goal outburst in Portland. Unfortunately, Orlando allowed four to the Thorns, with the last one coming on the final touch of the ball. It wasn’t ideal for the Pride, but there are still some positives — Marta, for example.

OCB finished with a late draw and a late loss this week, as the Young Lions’ slide continues. It’s been a difficult first year for OCB but there are opportunities ahead to grab some positives before the end of the 2019 season.

We also dive into this week’s mailbag and finish with our key match-ups and predictions for Orlando City at Portland and home against the Red Bulls.
