PawedCast Episode 181: Chicago Rewind, O’Connor Fired, Pride-Spirit, OCB, and More

Published

on

Orlando City lost, the Orlando Pride lost, OCB lost, James O’Connor lost (his job), and we’re at a loss to process it all, but we do our best. The 2019 MLS season concluded for the Lions with a 5-2 beatdown at home at the hands of the Chicago Fire and a pivotal play in the 58th minute could have changed the whole thing. We discuss.

O’Connor was sacked on Monday, less than 24 hours after coaching his final game for Orlando City. We talk about what it means, whether it should have happened, and what could happen next.

The Pride and OCB played too, if you can call it that. We spend a few minutes on the pair of losses and it was probably a few too many. We also go through our listener mail.

Here’s how show No. 181 went down:

0:15 – Our discussion of Orlando City’s home loss to Chicago and then the small matter of the club firing its head coach.

1:01:50 – The Pride hosted the Washington Spirit and OCB went to Richmond. Neither of these activities turned out to be a good idea.

1:10:48 – Our listener questions and programming notes about the off-season schedule.
