Orlando City Announces 2020 Preseason Schedule

Orlando City was a bit later than usual in announcing the team’s preseason schedule but that news finally dropped today as the Florida Cup was underway at Exploria Stadium. The Lions will open preseason training Monday and then head to Cancun, Mexico for nine days of training and preseason matches under new coach Oscar Pareja. Orlando City will play two matches open to the public — Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. against the Montreal Impact and Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. against KR Reykjavík.

In addition, closed preseason matches will take place against Stetson University at the team’s new training facility (Society XXI members only), Columbus Crew and Inter Playa while in Mexico, the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Exploria Stadium, D.C. United at South Florida University, and San Antonio FC at Exploria Stadium.

Season Ticket Members can receive up to four complimentary tickets to Orlando City’s two open preseason matches at Exploria Stadium at the link here, while the general public can purchase tickets for just $10. Tickets for both matches are now on sale. 

Orlando City will begin its sixth MLS campaign on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 6 p.m. against Real Salt Lake at Exploria Stadium.

The club still has some business to take care of, as the Lions have not yet announced Pareja’s staff, although sharp-eyed fans will have seen them in various videos or at the stadium during Florida Cup.

• Monday, Jan. 20 — Training begins at Orlando City SC Training Ground (9 a.m.)
• Saturday, Jan. 25 — Orlando City vs. Stetson University (Society XXI only) at Orlando City SC Training Ground (10 a.m.)
• Monday, Jan. 27 — Lions depart for Mexico
• Saturday, Feb. 1 — Orlando City vs. Columbus Crew at Pure Mareazul Riviera Maya (11 a.m.)
• Tuesday, Feb. 4 — Orlando City vs. Inter Playa at Pure Mareazul Riviera Maya (9 a.m.);
  Lions return from Mexico
• Saturday, Feb. 8 — Orlando City vs. Montreal Impact at Exploria Stadium (6 p.m.)
