It’s never easy to say goodbye to your team at the end of the year, but here we are.

Orlando City is done for the 2020 season after bowing out of the playoffs against the New England Revolution. It was a game filled with talking points and turning points and nearly all of them were bad for the Lions. We’re here to dive extremely deeply into Sunday’s Eastern Conference semifinal, point out that some players didn’t perform as poorly as people would have you believe, and select our Man of the Match for the final time in 2020.

After the bad, we get to talk about the good. Two Orlando City stars have been signed on for 2021 (and beyond in the case of Antonio Carlos). The team’s discipline is actually better than the team showed in the postseason and we break that down as well. Three Lions have been selected to the U.S. Men’s National Team camp ahead of next week’s game against El Salvador. And the NWSL has released its details about the 2021 draft and we tell you where the Pride will be picking and why.

Our mailbag is light this week, but we have answers. If there’s anything — and we do mean anything —you want us to address on our next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC.

That’s all for this week.

Stay safe and enjoy the show!

Here’s how show No. 225 went down:

0:15 – The Lions are done for the year after a tough loss that had a chance to turn out so much better. We hate to say goodbye to the season, so this is a lengthy breakdown section.

1:03:27 – Two of the team’s better players have been locked down for another year or more, three young Lions step onto the international stage at the senior level for the first time, the NWSL will hold its draft in a few weeks, and our mailbag dives into Orlando City’s history.
