Exploria Stadium to Host Two USWNT Friendlies vs. Colombia

Orlando City announced today that Exploria Stadium will host a pair of United States Women’s National Team friendlies. Both games will be against Colombia when the USWNT’s January camp takes place in Orlando, with matches taking place on Jan. 18 (7 p.m. on FS1) and Jan. 22 (7 p.m. on ESPN2). Spectators will be permitted but tickets will be limited to no more than 4,000 fans for these matches (see ticket sale and presale info below).

The U.S. Soccer Federation named 27 players to the USWNT January camp roster today, including Orlando Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris and defender Ali Krieger. Forward Alex Morgan would likely have been included but contracted COVID-19 recently and is isolating. Former Pride players Aubrey Bledsoe and Emily Sonnett were also called up for the camp. The USWNT has visited Exploria Stadium before. The venue has hosted the SheBelieves Cup in 2018 and 2020 — both U.S. wins over England. Exploria also hosted France vs. Germany and Spain vs. Japan in those two previous SheBelieves Cup match days. The stadium continues to be a destination for high-profile soccer events after recently hosting the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final of the 2020 Concacaf Champions League.

The two senior U.S. national teams have gone 5-0-0 against opponents at Exploria Stadium, outscoring opponents 12-1 in those games. The men are 3-0-0 with a 9-1 aggregate, while the women are 2-0-0 with a 3-0 aggregate, winning both games against England.

Capacity for each match will be limited to no more than 4,000 ticketed fans. Tickets go on sale to the public for both matches on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. ET through ussoccer.com. Tickets will be sold only in pods of 1, 2, 3, or 4 and a socially distanced seating manifest will be used.
