The Lions keep doing the opposite of what normal teams do — winning on the road and then losing at home. Usually it’s the other way around but at any rate, the loss to D.C. would suck regardless of the stadium in which it took place. The fact that it happened at Exploria Stadium only seems worse, but it really isn’t. It’s just about perception. At any rate, the 3-1 home loss to D.C. would be more worrisome if it was a dominant performance by United instead of one transition goal fueled by a terrible turnover, one awful set piece, and one series of missed chances to clear the area.

We discuss the match and await word on the severity of injuries to a couple of significant players. We’ve got our Man of the Match selections, as usual, and maintain hope that the team starts to gel with another opportunity to do so this Saturday against the LA Galaxy.

OCB continued its successful start to the season with two points (you read that correctly) against New York City FC II on Sunday night. The Young Lions held a 2-0 lead but let it evaporate despite being up a man and a goal for some time in the second half. It could have gotten worse had NYCFC II not missed a penalty, but the match ended level and OCB took the extra point home from the postgame penalty shootout. It was a feisty game between two teams who seem to have a lot of hate for one another.

Here’s how No. 338 went down:

0:15 – Another loss to Wayne Rooney. This is getting boring. Try something different.

27:27 – OCB bounced back (partially) from the Atlanta loss. Good job by the Young Lions in a heated match.

37:25 – You asked us anything. We answered everything.
