SkoPurp Soccer Episode 5: Louisville Rewind, Spirit and Gotham Previews, and More

The Orlando Pride must have enjoyed that win in San Diego, because they went and did it again on Saturday. This time the victim was winless Racing Louisville, and we’re happy to break down a victory for the second week in a row.

The Pride also signed forward Julie Doyle to a new contract and we discuss what that means for the club and for Doyle, and it’s a bummer we won’t see her on the pitch for a while longer.

After Dave helpfully reminded me that we hadn’t given out our selections for Player of the Match, we rectified that situation quickly.

Jason Anderson of Pro Soccer Wire joined us to help us preview the Pride’s Challenge Cup match tonight at Washington. Jason’s been following the Spirit for a long time and we appreciate him dropping the knowledge on us.
