Orlando Pride Announce 2024 Preseason Roster

The Orlando Pride announced the club’s 2024 preseason roster consisting of 34 players, with two of those (Tori Hansen and Kaylie Collins) currently out on loan in the Australian league. Preseason camp begins this morning at the Orlando Health Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park. Of the 34 players listed (and the 32 expected in camp — Evelina Duljan has not yet reported), 24 are currently under contract.

The roster includes five goalkeepers (one on loan), 12 defenders (one on loan), eight midfielders, and nine forwards. Kerry Abello, who spent much of last season in the midfield or on the wing, is listed among the defenders.

The surprising name on the roster is former Angel City forward Simone Charley, who became a free agent at the conclusion of the 2023 season. She is listed as a non-roster invitee, but seems likely to be signed, providing depth at the striker position. Newcomers include Brazilian international midfielders Luana and Angelina, Duljan (a young Swedish midfielder formerly with Juventus), veteran U.S. international midfielder Morgan Gautrat, and goalkeeper Sofia Manner from Finland. Additionally, all four of Orlando’s 2024 NWSL Draft selections — Ally Lemos, Cori Dyke, Alex Kerr, and Talia Gabarra — are part of the preseason camp roster.

Seb Hines’ squad returns most of its core from a team that only missed the playoffs due to the goal differential tiebreaker and finished second in the league in wins. The Pride freed up four international slots over the off-season, acquiring green cards for Adriana, Mariana Larroquette, Rafaelle, and Anna Moorhouse.

In addition to Charley, the club’s non-roster invitees include goalkeepers Kenna Caldwell and McKinley Crone, and defender Raegan Cox. Crone, an Alabama product, has been a National Team Replacement Player with the Pride in the past. Caldwell, a keeper from Texas A&M, took part in the club’s recent goalkeeper combine. Cox played at Michigan State last season, where she started 21 games.
