PawedCast Epsiode 395: Orlando City Player & Non-Player Signings, Preseason Results, Coaching Staff Announcements, and More

The Duncan McGuire saga ended (for now, anyway), but it wasn’t in a good way for anyone involved. Still, Blackburn missed a sitter by not properly submitting transfer paperwork, so McGuire is back in Orlando and the plan is to have him start the season with the Lions. Where things go from there is anyone’s guess.

Aside from that, Orlando City was busy in the last week, completing a new contract for Robin Jansson, signing new players David Brekalo and Luis Muriel, inking Luiz Muzzi and Ricardo Moreira to new two-year contracts, and naming Oscar Pareja’s coaching staff for 2024. It’s been a busy week and we unpack it all for you.

After that, we discuss the new Legacy Kit the Lions will wear on the road in 2024 and 2025. They’ll also where the new kits at home on March 9. It’s an outstanding homage to the club’s USL history and longtime fans will enjoy the new threads.

After the jersey talk, we discussed the Lions’ preseason results to date, with one more test waiting before the games matter next week. It’s been a successful preseason, but the rubber meets the road in just a few days.
