Electronics in Time for Christmas

Orlando City has signed a multi-year partnership with global digital and electronics giant Panasonic North America. The agreement makes Panasonic the official technology partner of the club's new downtown stadium. Under the partnership, the firm will provide on-field and fascia LED boards, the main scoreboard in the south end of the stadium, flat panel televisions throughout the stadium's suites, offices and work areas, security cameras, control room, and other components.

"Our goal is to provide Orlando City fans with the best possible experience at the new stadium and this partnership with Panasonic takes us another step closer to delivering on that promise," said Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins. "They have the expertise, products and reputation to deliver a world class solution to create an unforgettable match day environment. We're thrilled to partner with Panasonic and look forward to working closely with them on the new stadium."

Ruckus Raising

Original supporters group The Ruckus continues to help those in need throughout the Central Florida community The group will donate $1 from every shirt sold and $2 from every 2015 Ruckus membership package purchased through Dec. 21 to the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. New Home for United

Congratulations to our friends at Black and Red United and D.C. United fans everywhere on the passage (finally!) of their new stadium. RFK is a pit as far as soccer is concerned and it will be nice to have them play in a building that is free of raccoons and falling debris. The new stadium is slated to open in 2017.

Sounders Searching for a New Address?

Speaking of new soccer stadiums, are the Seattle Sounders looking to move out of CenturyLink Field and away from its horrible field turf? Taylor Twellman says that may be the case. No team likes to be second fiddle in its home stadium and the Seahawks aren’t going anywhere soon, so this could be a thing.

Cubo to…Houston?

It appears that the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders have passed on Erick “Cubo” Torres and the 21-year-old Chivas Guadalajara product may be headed to the Dynamo. That would certainly be an interesting development for the former Chivas USA star man.

But not so fast. Late last night, reports surfaced that Cubo was going to play for Chivas Guadalajara for six months.

The kicker here is that Cubo may be headed back to MLS after the six-month loan to the Mexican League.

This has been a strange ride. I'll be very curious to see how this situation resolves itself.

No Gold Cup Dates in Florida

The 2015 Gold Cup is coming no closer to us than Atlanta or Charlotte. CONCACAF named 13 cities in U.S. and (for the first time) Canada that will host matches in the tournament and none of them are in the Sunshine State. Why not us? Well, it isn't the artificial turf in the Citrus Bowl, because other venues have fake grass too, including knockout stage host Atlanta.
