Full Breakdown of Orlando City’s Upcoming International Absences

We now have a full rundown of all of the Orlando City players who will be out on international duty for the remainder of the month of March. Seven players will be unavailable to the Lions for upcoming road match on Saturday, March 28 at Montreal Impact. Most of the seven will be, at best, limited for the home match on Friday, April 3 vs. D.C. United.

Here are the seven players who will be away and their game schedule:

Center Back Conor Donovan (U-20 USMNT)

• vs. Tottenham Hotspur's U-21 Friday, March 27 in London, England (closed door)
• vs. England U-21s on Sunday, March 29 in Plymouth, England

Left Back Brek Shea (USMNT)

• vs. Denmark on Wednesday, March 25 in Aarhus, Denmark
• vs. Switzerland on Tuesday, March 31 in Zurich, Switzerland

Midfielder Darwin Ceren (El Salvador)

• vs. Argentina on Saturday, March 28 in Washington, D.C.
• vs. Guatemala on Tuesday, March 31 in Los Angeles

Midfielder Kevin Molino (Trinidad & Tobago)

• vs. Panama on Friday, March 27 in Port of Spain, Trinidad

Forward Cyle Larin (Canada)

• vs. Guatemala on Friday, March 27 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
• vs. Puerto Rico on Sunday, March 29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Defender Rafael Ramos and Midfielder Estrela (Portugal U-20)

• vs. Uzbekistan on Friday, March 27 in Coimbra, Portugal
• vs. Uruguay on Tuesday, March 31 in Coimbra, Portugal

What does this mean for Orlando City?

It is doubtful that anyone who plays on March 31 will be available for April 3, although some may be able to suit up and be on the bench for the D.C. United game. Shea, Ramos and Estrela will be flying back from Europe after playing on the 31^st. That more or less rules them out. Ceren also flies across the country from Los Angeles, which likely makes him unavailable as well.

Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath will likely rest all of those players if he can. So it's vital that the Lions who aren't going off to play for their countries avoid injury and suspension in the Montreal Impact match.

Of the remaining three players, Donovan is the next least likely to be available for United. His U.S. U-20 camp runs through March 30 and he'll be flying back from England. Larin is only going as far as Puerto Rico and his last friendly with Canada is March 29, so his availability looks much better.

And then there's Molino. The Trinidadian is playing just one international match, in his home country against Panama on March 27. Unless T&T Head Coach Stephen Hart extends his team's camp, Molino should be back in plenty of time to train in preparation for DC's first visit to the Citrus Bowl.
