Welcome to your live match thread for tonight's match-up between Orlando City (8-11-14, 38 points) and D.C. United (11-9-13, 46 points). It’s the second of two scheduled meetings between the two Eastern Conference rivals this season and the final game set for Camping World Stadium – Orlando City’s home since 2011. It’s Throwback Day, so let’s hope for a throwback result from the Lions.

United has gotten the better of this series so far, sporting a 3-1 record after a 4-1 win at RFK earlier this year and three matches last season. Patrick Mulllins’ 34^th-minute goal was all that separated the sides after 45 minutes, but Lloyd Sam and Mullins tripled that lead shortly after the break. Julio Baptista pulled one back on a superb free kick in the 72^nd minute, just moments after Antonio Nocerino was sent off for a wayward elbow. Julian Buescher tacked on a late cosmetic goal for United.

The Black & Red were outplayed in the first meeting back on April 3, 2015, but the Lions couldn’t put the ball past Bill Hamid, paving the way for Luis Silva to score with a 91st-minute free kick, breaking Orlando hearts, 1-0. On May 13, Orlando again looked like the better club for much of the game, taking a 1-0 lead on Cyle Larin’s goal, but then bad things happened. Aurelien Collin sustained an injury and was replaced at center back by Tyler Turner. D.C. quickly used that mismatch to score twice and win, 2-1. Orlando finally got on the board in the series on June 14 of last year with Kaká scoring off the rebound of his own missed penalty to provide the Lions’ 1-0 winning margin.

D.C. United is on a four-game winning streak that started with that Sept. 24 match vs. Orlando City, and is unbeaten in six matches. The Lions won their last outing at Philadelphia Union last Sunday, but were winless in four prior to that.

The Lions will be without center back David Mateos (MCL tear).
