PawedCast Episode 139: Pride-Courage Rewind, Atlanta Preview & Rafa Cabrera

Published

on

The good news is that we have no Orlando City loss to dissect this week. The bad news is the Lions didn’t play, so they didn’t get a result either. The worse news is the Orlando Pride lost at the North Carolina Courage. No es bueno.

We’re breaking down the Pride’s two-day match at North Carolina, give out our Player of the Match award, and discuss what Orlando must do now to make the NWSL playoffs.

This week’s special guest is Orlando City Communications Manager Rafa Cabrera. Rafa has been getting us great guests for the PawedCast for years and now it’s his turn to take the spotlight and talk about his time with the club and the exciting times that lie ahead for him as he continues his soccer education at Real Madrid! We’re super psyched for Rafa and wish him the best of luck in the future.

We also address a very hefty weekly mailbag, and give you our key match-ups and score predictions for the Lions against Atlanta United.

If there’s something you want us to address on our next show, just ask by tweeting it to us @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC.

Here’s how show No. 139 went:

0:12 – The Pride lost and we hate it but we have to discuss it, so…we do.

21:28 – Rafa Cabrera is unfortunately leaving Orlando City’s communications staff and it’s Real Madrid’s gain. We’re sad to see him go but happy to talk to him about his time with the club and all the cool stuff he’s done over the years.

40:53 – Our mailbag includes what makes a great album, whether Flavio should sell OCSC and more. Plus our match-ups and predictions for Atlanta.
