PawedCast Episode 515: Orlando City Transfers, Preseason Schedule, OCB Signings, and More
We’re back to discuss Orlando City’s transfer news and rumors, OCB roster additions, and the preseason schedule.
Orlando City has gathered for preseason camp ahead of the 2026 season, and we’re still here to talk about it. How long that continues to be the case may unknown at this point, but we’re trending in the right direction, so if that continues, you’re stuck with us for a while longer.
The Lions have had various comings and goings since our last show, and we discuss the movement in and out of the roster. We thought Carlos Coronel was going to be the new Orlando City starter in goal, but he fled to Brazil, so we welcome Canadian international Maxime Crepeau to the City Beautiful. It’s not as splashy an addition, but it could be just as effective a roster move if he can regain his form from his Vancouver and LAFC days.
We also discussed the additions of Tiago, Luis Otavio, and Braian Ojeda. On the other hand, departures took place as well, such as Nico Rodriguez being loaned to Atletico Nacional and the reports that Luis Muriel may be finalizing a deal to move on. We chatted about what those moves mean in the grand scheme of things. Kyle Smith went home and we are glad he’s still playing but sad to see him in another team’s uniform.
The preseason schedule was a bit underwhelming, but we ran through it quickly.
Our mailbagbox was a little light, and it proved to us how little we know about the Polish national team. Remember, if there’s anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the show, just ask us by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC, or hitting us up on Bluesky Social with that same hashtag.
Finally, we talked a bit about the recent moves OCB has made, including the addition of a Brazilian striker. Former OCB forward Shak Mohammed is off to Nashville, while OCB/OCSC left wing Yutaro Tsukada showed up to preseason camp with a wedding ring. Congrats to Yutaro!
Note: we are now in our off-season podcast schedule, which is guaranteed to give you at least one episode per month but we will only be weekly if/when news warrants it. We’ll also return for at least one more show to say goodbye if things don’t work out for us to continue, but we are hoping it doesn’t come to that!

30:16 – The mailbagbox seeks help for Orlando City from Poland and wants to know which position we’d least like to see the club make a Designated Player signing.
41:52 – OCB news, a new home for Shak, and Tsukada ties the knot.

SkoPurp Soccer Episode 121: Spirit Rewind, Courage Preview, and More
Even a Barbra Banda brace couldn’t bag three points for the Pride vs. Washington.
The Orlando Pride lost their second straight game and once again a bad defensive few minutes and a lack of scorers not named Barbra Banda were largely to blame. Two goals conceded inside of the game’s first six minutes and a blown sitter combined to put Orlando well behind the 8-ball, and although the Pride rallied to tie the match by halftime, Washington was the better side in the second half and took all three of the available points.
We look back at our score predictions, discuss the key moments and players, and make our selections for the player of the match.
Our mailbagbox asked about Barbra Banda, Ally Lemos taking penalties, second-leading scorers vs. backup goalkeepers, and more. After the mailbagbox, we look ahead to the North Carolina Courage’s upcoming visit to Inter&Co Stadium on Friday night. The Pride need a bounce-back game (and a few healthy bodies), but it’s going to take a team effort for Orlando to beat a solid North Carolina squad. We look back at the series history, which has favored the Courage over the years, provide our key matchups, and make our final score predictions.

Here’s how Episode 121 went down:
0:15 – Much like last season, a loss at Louisville has turned into a skid for the Pride.
17:38 – The mailbagbox seems upset.
33:26 – The Pride host North Carolina looking to get back on the right track. How about just getting healthy?

PawedCast Episode 531: Revs and Miami Rewinds, Montreal Preview, OCB-Crown Legacy, and More
The Lions get two high-scoring road wins and will head to Montreal next, and OCB continues to have wacky finishes.
Orlando City entered last week after blowing a late road lead at D.C. United. The Lions continued to play away from home but instead of blowing leads, they decided to go the other way. Orlando came back from three deficits to beat the New England Revolution 4-3 in the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday and then fell behind 3-0 at Inter Miami before rallying for another 4-3 win. It will never not be a delight that the Lions became the first team to win at Nu Stadium!
We discuss both wins, which were exciting for different reasons. We look back at our score predictions for the Miami match and make our selections for Man of the Match from both contests. It’s nice to see the Lions scoring goals again, even if they are still conceding too many.
A win over Inter Miami comes with awards! Martin Ojeda won Player of the Matchday and was named to the Team of the Matchday starting XI after his hat trick Saturday. Tyrese Spicer made the TotM bench and Martin Perelman was named coach.
Our mailbagbox went deep this week. Questions galore! We were asked about Antoine Griezmann, 2025 Orlando City vs. 2026 Wrexham, if the Lions will keep a clean sheet in MLS this year, and much more. Remember, if there’s anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the show, just ask us by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC, or hitting us up on Bluesky Social with that same hashtag.
After the mailbagbox, we looked back at OCB’s latest crazy finish and the Young Lions’ first shootout loss of the season. They had plenty of chances to not fall behind 2-0 at home, but where’s the fun in that? OCB rallied for a draw but couldn’t snap up the second point in the shootout. Next up is a trip to play Atlanta United 2 on Sunday.
Finally, we looked ahead to Orlando City’s road game at Montreal on Saturday afternoon. The Lions will be looking for a season sweep, but Montreal has looked better in its home games in recent weeks and Prince Owusu likes to score against Orlando City. The Lions will need to be better defensively to continue their road success. We look at the series history, provide our key matchups for the game, and make our predictions for the final score.

Here’s how No. 531 went down:
0:15 – The Lions scored two important road wins and many goals were scored by all teams involved.
29:21 – Our mailbagbox is bursting at the seams after a successful week away from Inter&Co Stadium.
52:20 – Another crazy finish for OCB and the Lions head north as the road swing continues.

SkoPurp Soccer Episode 120: Louisville Rewind, Spirit Preview, and More
The Pride couldn’t get out of their own way early in both halves and it was costly in a road loss in Kentucky. The Spirit are up next.
The Orlando Pride must really hate Kentucky. The club has never won there and a lot of weird things seem to happen. For example, on Friday, the Pride went to Louisville, dominated at least 80% of the game, fired 27 shots toward Racing’s goal, and still left town with a 3-2 loss. It was a wasteful performance spent mostly shooting either right at the goalkeeper or off the target entirely, but at least Barbra Banda scored a brace to give fans a couple of moments of magic.
We break down Orlando putting the ‘L’ in Louisville, due largely to a terrible start to the second half, look back at our score predictions to see if we came close, and made our unanimous selections for Player of the Match.
Our mailbagbox asked about the Pride’s attackers, Orlando’s best and worst matchups around the league, and more. Remember, you can ask us anything by hitting us up on Twitter at either @TheManeLand or @SkoPurpSoccer and using the hashtag #AskSkoPurp. After the mailbagbox, we look ahead to the Washington Spirit’s visit to Inter&Co Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Trinity Rodman is the big name, but the Spirit have a lot of quality in the squad, and the Pride will have to be much better prepared and locked in for 90 minutes than they were against Racing Louisville. We look back at the series history, provide our key matchups, and make our predictions for the final score.

10:55 – The mailbagbox beckons from all corners of the internet.
24:52 – The Pride are set to host the Washington Spirit, so bouncing back is of utmost importance.
