Orlando Pride vs. Racing Louisville: Photo Gallery
An album of images from the Pride’s 3-1 home loss to Racing Louisville.
The Orlando Pride continued their anemic play against Racing Louisville on Friday night, losing 3-1 at home to the second-worst team in the league, which completed its season series sweep. Orlando once again did not dress about half of its preferred starters, including Marta, Oihane, Hannah Anderson, Haley McCutcheon (suspended), and Barbra Banda (international duty). Even with two goalkeepers on the bench, the Pride did not dress a full complement of substitutes.
Only second-half sub Kerry Abello’s golazo late in stoppage time and an embarrassing Louisville goal overturned after video review flattered what otherwise was another tepid performance by the team.
Neither team generated much in the first 10 minutes, but after that, Louisville managed a bit of pressure, eventually leading to a corner in the 16th minute. Rafaelle, who has struggled with both fitness and form this season, lost track of Audrey McKeen in the middle of the six-yard box, and the Pride were down a goal early.
Sometimes conceding a goal will fire up a team, but it was not so in this case, as the teams were back to trading possession and a few half-chances. Finally, after the cooling break, the Pride were able to generate their best look of the game. Julie Doyle found Simone Jackson open at the top of the six-yard box, but with only an in-motion Jordyn Bloomer to beat, she rang the crossbar. Shortly after that miss, Jacquie Ovalle slipped Doyle into the box behind the defense. Doyle got nothing on her shot, allowing Bloomer to collect, but the referee awarded a penalty for contact from Mirann Gacioch. After a lengthy video review, however, the penalty call was overturned.
The rest of the half continued as it had up to that point, with a few low-percentage shots exchanged by the teams.
After the intermission, Louisville generated its most sustained pressure of the game, keeping the Pride contained in their own half. Pride Head Coach Seb Hines made his first substitutions of the game, bringing on Summer Yates and Solai Washington in the 55th minute. This broke Louisville’s rhythm and allowed Orlando to get forward for a few minutes, but the visitors brought on their own subs in the 62nd minute and Orlando was on the back foot again. In the 68th minute, Lousiville finally doubled the lead when Emma Sears carried a ball into the box and roasted Rafaelle 1-v-1, opening enough space for a shot. It was a tight angle, but Anna Moorhouse was still easily beaten to the far post.
In the 78th minute, Sears beat Abello in transition. Moorhouse came out as a slow-rolling shot bounced toward goal that somehow went right through the goalkeeper’s legs, allowing Sears to get to it and tap it in. The goal was reviewed and overturned for offside on the initial ball forward, sparing Moorhouse and Orlando further blushes for what would have been an astonishingly embarrassing goal.
With about 10 minutes remaining in regulation, Orlando threw more numbers forward against a sagging Louisville defense, enabling the Pride to generate a few more chances. Unfortunately, that left them exposed to one of Louisville’s strengths, and Sears outraced Rafaelle on the break once again and placed an almost identical shot to her first goal past Moorhouse to put Louisville three goals ahead.
Orlando finally managed to sustain pressure against Louisville, even if it was clearly too late. That pressure finally paid off in added time when an errant cross was cleared to Abello about 30 yards from goal. Abello took a touch and then smashed a shot into the upper right corner of the goal to at least break the shutout.
We hope you enjoy these images more than anyone other than Racing Louisville fans enjoyed the game.

Orlando Pride vs. NJ/NY Gotham FC: Photo Gallery
An album of images from the Pride’s final home game of 2026.
The Orlando Pride hosted NJ/NY Gotham FC in their final home game of the year on day with weather changes from sun to heavy rain to overcast, and back to rain. The match went on though, and the teams played on undaunted. While the Pride fought well against a tough Gotham adversary, two unmarked players at the back post and a wasted quality scoring chances combined to deliver another defeat for the Pride, as the visitors escaped with a 2-1 win.
Orlando opened the game well, with the best chances early and throughout the first part of the game. Solai Washington started the pressure early, getting to a good Marta cross but missing from close range in the second minute. Hesitation to make a decision cost her two minutes later after her speed got her behind the Gotham defense. Kerry Abello also missed a prime chance in the 17th minute, rounding the Gotham goalkeeper well and then missing the wide-open net. The flag came up, but video review may have shown she held her run long enough had she just put the ball in the unprotected goal.
Shortly after that, Gotham finished its chance, with a wide-open cross to an even more open Midge Purce, who nicely looped a seeing-eye header over the top of Cosette Morche and just under the bar for a 1-0 lead. Almost the same ball movement occurred in the 35th minute — this time finding an open Sam Kerr, but she headed the ball to the goal line and Morche made a great fingertip save and then blocked the rebound from point-blank range as well.
After the half, Orlando continued to get forward but either miss the net or shoot straight at Gotham goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger. Finally, in the 56th minute, Marta got a good shot off but it wasn’t quite strong enough and Berger was up to the challenge. In the 62nd minute, Orlando once again left the back post unattended — this time on a set piece — with Jaelin Howell heading a long corner back on goal. Morche appeared to tip it off the crossbar, but Tierna Davidson cleaned up the rebound as it bounced in front of goal. A few minutes later, however, Washington intercepted a poor back pass from Howell, broke in behind the defense yet again, and this time she found the net, pulling a goal back for the Pride in the 65th minute.
After that, Gotham looked to drag the game tempo and Orlando fell back into its pattern of missing the net. After a couple more half looks missed in the final 15 minutes, Orlando was unable to pull even.
Despite falling, the Pride generally outplayed the first-place visitors and also saw the emotional returns of Kylie Nadaner and Viviana Villacorta in late substitute appearances. The result was another poor one, but the performance was a big improvement over what the club showed for much of the season as the Pride tried to send the home fans happy but came up just short.
We hope you enjoy the pictures in this final Pride gallery of 2026.

Orlando City vs. D.C. United: Photo Gallery
An album of images from Orlando’s 4-1 home victory over D.C. United.
Antoine Griezmann continues to rip up Major League Soccer, as his two goals and an assist led Orlando City to a critical 4-1 home victory over D.C. United on Saturday.
Orlando opened with a couple of early shots from Martin Ojeda and Ivan Angulo. D.C. then created some threats at the other end, as goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau continued shoring up the patchwork defense with a great double save in the eighth minute off a long throw-in in the middle of a series of set pieces to keep the game scoreless.
After that, Orlando got back on the front foot and scored twice in the middle of the half to leap out to the lead. The first goal in the 15th minute was a well-worked team goal full of the kind of brilliant one-touch passing that Griezmann has brought to the team, cycling from Eduard Atuesta to Griezmann to Daryl Dike to Griezmann to Ojeda and back to Griezmann for the goal in the space of about six seconds. Then, in the 22nd minute, Ojeda finished a Griezman lob with a spectacular leaping backheel finish with his right foot.
With two goals in seven minutes, it looked like Orlando was in scoring-for-fun mode, but the game settled down for a bit with D.C. maintaining some possession but not creating much. That is until Atuesta conceded a corner in the last minute of the first half. Wilder Cartegena tackled his mark in the style more common to U.S. football than soccer. Tai Baribo converted the resulting penalty kick, and the game went to halftime with the Lions leading 2-1.
Immediately after the start of the second half, D.C. found the net, but Baribo was clearly offside and the goal disallowed. Shortly after that, Kye Rowles passed the ball directly to Griezmann just outside the D.C. penalty area. Griezmann took two touches before passing it home past Sean Johnson for a 3-1 lead in the 50th minute.
To their credit, the visitors continued to attack in an attempt to fight their way back into the game, and the teams continued a lively back-and-forth as the match went on. Orlando City prevented D.C. from getting many good looks, but protecting a two-goal lead, the Lions didn’t take many changes and only generated a couple good opportunities of their own. Ojeda played Atuesta to the corner of the box in the 59th minute, and the Colombian midfielder shook his defender and provided a great cross to Iván Angulo, but Johnson made a toe save to deny him. Griezmann tried to volley home an audacious shot from a Justin Ellis cross in the 76th minute and got his effort on goal, but the shot didn’t quite have enough power, allowing Johnson time to make the save.
As time wound down in stoppage time, Ellis broke the D.C. lines with a superb diagonal ball to spring fellow substitute Marco Pašalić behind the defense and into a one-on-one with Johnson, which the Croatian calmly finished to stretch the lead to 4-1 on the last play of the game.
The win keeps Orlando in seventh place and combined with other results around MLS to provide a few more points of separation with the teams trying to catch the Lions from behind. We hope you enjoy the photos from the game!

Orlando Pride vs. San Diego Wave FC: Photo Gallery
An album of images from the Pride’s 2-1 home loss to San Diego.
Two teams of vastly differing league results, the Orlando Pride and San Diego Wave, met on Friday night, and it went about as one would expect, given the standings. The Pride spurned an opening look, then the Wave converted theirs and the Pride never got back into the game after that for a 2-1 loss.
Orlando got the first break in the game, with Barbra Banda getting on the run and playing a ball through for Solai Washington on the break in the second minute, but Washington was unable to make the transfer cleanly to her right foot and scuffed the shot. Shortly after that, Cori Dyke cleared a corner kick out the side without pressure, and the Pride were picking the ball out of the back of the net after failing to mark on the resulting throw-in sequence.
After the goal, Orlando continued trying to play the ball through to Banda on the run. San Diego countered by being physical with Banda and the referee was content to facilitate, and San Diego also did a good job of forcing what attack Orlando was able to build into either turnovers or a low-chance shots from distance. Disaster struck for the Pride in the 22nd minute, when Hannah Anderson coughed up the ball in her own box, sending a too-soft back pass between the back line and the well in front of the goalkeeper. Cosette Morche tried her best to clean up the mess, blocking the ball away from Kenza Dali and making a huge save on Trinity Byars, but she was unable to do anything about Gia Corley, who had a wide-open net in the scramble. San Diego took its 2-0 lead into the break.
To open the second half, Orlando teased a breath of life with Banda getting in behind and getting run over in the box by Kennedy Wesley, drawing a penalty kick in the second minute of the half. After getting treatment and the usual penalty delays, Banda placed the spot kick inches inside the right post to draw the game back to 2-1. Unfortunately, the Wave’s dominance on the ball continued after that, with Orlando getting only three additional shots (none on target) for the remainder of the match. Banda’s penalty was the only shot on target after the 13th minute of the game.
The Pride will be back in action on Oct. 18, visiting the Houston Dash after the upcoming FIFA women’s international break.
We hope you enjoy these pictures from the match.
